Academy for CPIT – Junior AI Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Participate in three virtual rotations across focus areas: AI, Platforms & Data; Corporate Functions & Analytics; Customer & Partner; Product Processes & Solutions
• ▹Map user needs, define success metrics, and iterate based on feedback and data
• ▹Clean, explore and draw insights from data using tools such as pandas or SQL
• ▹Work in cross-functional teams with designers, engineers and business stakeholders
• ▹Take end-to-end ownership of small problems: understand the context, sketch a solution, gather feedback, iterate quickly
• ▹Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor as part of daily work
• ▹Build AI-powered features: call LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, SAP AI Core), write and iterate on prompts, apply concepts like RAG and embedding-based search

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical/business informatics field or similar (technical orientation required), with at least some work experience (e.g. an internship)
• ▹Practical, hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) in a real development workflow
• ▹Basic familiarity with building AI-powered features: LLM APIs, prompting, tokens, context windows, RAG, embedding-based search
• ▹Comfortable coding in at least one modern language (ideally Python), with projects or coursework in data science, machine learning or statistics
• ▹Basic familiarity with modern AI/ML tools and concepts (supervised learning, neural networks, LLMs, vector databases, MLOps)
• ▹Strong English language skills for collaborating with international, virtual teams
