Junior OSS Application Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Analyzing business requirements for process support and inventory systems (mainly ticketing and monitoring) and data warehouses, and turning them into solution designs
• ▹Managing project lifecycles and coordinating suppliers through the planning, development and implementation phases
• ▹Directing external suppliers and aligning the product roadmap with the area's strategy
• ▹Continuously aligning business needs with product roadmaps and managing stakeholders
• ▹Actively advising internal clients on system/product developments and new market trends
• ▹Planning specialized functional topics and representing the area in workshops and working groups
• ▹Developing technical concepts and presenting them to expert committees and management
• ▹Application ownership and operational tasks, optionally including 24/7 on-call duty
• ▹Preparing regular status reports, risk analyses and reports for management

Requirements

• ▹Higher education degree (preferably in IT, telecommunications or a related technical field)
• ▹Knowledge of cloud (k8s) and virtualization platforms
• ▹MS Windows Server, Unix/Linux operations knowledge
• ▹Knowledge of network protocols
• ▹Conversational, intermediate-level English
• ▹1-3 years of relevant professional experience
• ▹Familiarity with project and delivery management and agile ways of working
• ▹Experience working in a large enterprise/telecommunications environment

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of telecommunications networks
