TV Service Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Operating central TV headend systems and backend solutions, ensuring continuous monitoring and fault-free service
• ▹Contributing to integration tasks between platform components and the introduction of technology elements
• ▹Taking responsibility for the lifecycle management of certain system components
• ▹Helping optimize the interaction between headends, the distribution network and end-user devices, and testing before new version rollouts
• ▹Independently planning and executing specialist tasks within professional projects
• ▹Preparing training materials and documentation across the systems' lifecycle
• ▹Contributing to quality assurance tasks, developing and implementing supporting solutions
• ▹Liaising with external and internal partners, contributing to decision-support materials

Requirements

• ▹Higher education degree (preferably technical, telecommunications or IT field)
• ▹3-5 years of relevant professional experience in TV service operations or server operations
• ▹Negotiation-level English
• ▹Networking knowledge
• ▹Ability and preference for independent work
• ▹Category B driving licence and driving experience
• ▹Willingness to work on-call

Nice to have

• ▹Professional knowledge of headend systems, CAS and video encoding
