DWDM Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Operate DWDM network system equipment, perform required settings and configuration
• ▹Resolve complex faults in DWDM systems and equipment, document resolution in the ticketing system
• ▹Maintain accurate technical records for managed equipment
• ▹Plan installation and configure equipment and devices
• ▹Propose equipment replacement or configuration changes based on operational experience
• ▹Participate in testing new equipment and developing/evaluating quality metrics
• ▹Contribute to planning DWDM network systems and services, and equipment selection
• ▹Collaborate with other departments and organizations on planning new network services

Requirements

• ▹Higher education degree (technical field preferred)
• ▹1-3 years of relevant professional experience
• ▹Basic English and native-level Hungarian
• ▹Experience operating and/or developing DWDM networks
• ▹Broad knowledge of optical, DWDM and SDH technologies
• ▹Knowledge of operating other transmission technology networks
