Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Setting up, operating and ensuring the availability of development and test environments (DEV, UAT)
• ▹Managing and consolidating cloud environments
• ▹Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps tools, automating release, A/B testing and canary build processes
• ▹Configuring, maintaining and capacity-planning Kubernetes/AKS clusters
• ▹Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
• ▹Developing and operating monitoring and alerting systems (Azure Monitor, Application Insights)
• ▹Providing self-service tools for development teams (e.g. logs, environment information, self-service deployment)
• ▹Simplifying and streamlining infrastructure and running it cost-effectively
• ▹Building and maintaining performance testing infrastructure
• ▹Close collaboration with development and QA teams on operability and architecture questions
• ▹Preparing the professional groundwork for introducing new third-party services
• ▹Contributing to the coordination of penetration testing projects

Requirements

• ▹At least 3-5 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience
• ▹Confident Kubernetes knowledge (AKS, Helm, resource management, troubleshooting)
• ▹Experience with Docker and container-based solutions
• ▹Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services (e.g. AKS, ACR, Key Vault, VNet, Azure Monitor, Application Insights)
• ▹Experience developing Azure DevOps pipelines
• ▹Systems-oriented, platform-level thinking

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Terraform (modules, state management, remote backend)
• ▹Azure certification (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-400 or higher)
• ▹AWS knowledge (part of the platform also runs on AWS)
• ▹Experience with GitOps practices and tools (e.g. ArgoCD, Flux)
• ▹Experience with service mesh solutions (e.g. Istio, Linkerd)
• ▹Experience operating Kafka infrastructure
• ▹Experience operating Elasticsearch clusters
• ▹FinOps knowledge and experience with Azure cost management tools
• ▹Experience with highly available PostgreSQL configurations (Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server)
• ▹Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
