Starschema is looking for an enthusiastic Data Scientist who enjoys continuous learning and isn't afraid to get hands dirty with data. You would help clients, including Fortune 500 companies and Hungarian blue-chip firms, make data-driven decisions using classical machine learning, data analysis and cutting-edge GenAI solutions. Recent projects span streaming content popularity prediction, GenAI for steel manufacturing innovation scanning, and GenAI for financial anomaly detection. Junior, medior and senior candidates are all encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- ▹Understand and prepare data for analysis
- ▹Write clean, well-documented and efficient code (mainly in Python)
- ▹Build machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, anomaly detection, etc.)
- ▹Present results to customers and/or the community
- ▹Improve and refresh existing data science products
- ▹Create GenAI applications tailored to the client's needs, environment and available data
Requirements
- ▹3+ years of experience in Data Science
- ▹Hands-on experience in Python and data preparation techniques
- ▹Demonstrated knowledge of a version control tool (preferably Git)
- ▹Deep understanding of data science and machine learning frameworks
- ▹Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- ▹Experience working with cloud-based platforms, preferably Azure
- ▹Experience/good understanding of Generative AI concepts and implementations
- ▹Experience with Generative AI platform offerings (open source LangChain/LlamaIndex or other 3rd party platforms) and tools
- ▹Well-developed written and oral communication skills in both English and Hungarian

- ▹Additional R/SQL knowledge
- ▹Hands-on NLP technology experience
