Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Own and continuously improve security posture — access controls, secrets management, vulnerability triage, audit logging
• ▹Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, enabling millions of browser sessions daily
• ▹Embed with product and engineering teams to assess infrastructure needs, conduct security reviews, and secure CI/CD workflows
• ▹Participate in the engineering team's on-call rotation, responding to incidents through to resolution

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized applications in AWS
• ▹5+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• ▹Intermediate knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC architecture and peering, zero-trust network access — Tailscale)
• ▹Intermediate knowledge of cloud security standards (least-privilege IAM, secrets management, API authentication and abuse prevention, audit logging, network segmentation)
• ▹Demonstrable hands-on experience with CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools

Nice to have

• ▹Working knowledge of legal/compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR)
• ▹Knowledge of NoSQL document databases (MongoDB) and/or relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• ▹Experience working effectively in a distributed, remote-first team
• ▹A non-traditional path into software engineering
