DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Collaborate closely with the development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure
• ▹Assist in the development and support of tooling to streamline the deployment and maintenance of products
• ▹Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and ArgoCD to deploy applications from development through to production
• ▹Support both in-house and third-party applications, including deployments, upgrades and troubleshooting
• ▹Write and manage automation pipelines for application deployment and maintenance
• ▹Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform
• ▹Document processes and best practices clearly and concisely

Requirements

• ▹3-5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field
• ▹Experience with cloud infrastructure, primarily GCP
• ▹Experience with the Linux command line and networking, particularly within Kubernetes environments
• ▹A willingness to dive into complex systems, ensuring that everything runs smoothly
• ▹A strong understanding of security best practices
• ▹Participating in an on-call rotation

Nice to have

• ▹Previous experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Ansible, Redis and Jenkins
• ▹An understanding of scripting languages like Bash, Python or Go
• ▹Experience working with distributed and remote teams
