Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement features and performance improvements for highly scalable, cloud-based distributed data pipelines
• ▹Develop, maintain, and test code
• ▹Conduct design and code reviews
• ▹Collaborate with peers, product managers, and customer support to deliver a high-quality, performant, and scalable product
• ▹Understand and resolve performance and scalability challenges
• ▹Participate periodically in the on-call rotation
• ▹Participate in the hiring process
• ▹Mentor junior developers

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex engineering problems
• ▹Experience designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend using industry best practices
• ▹Experience working with distributed systems
• ▹Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant code
• ▹Ability to lead software design to meet project requirements
• ▹Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
• ▹Proficiency in an object-oriented/systems language such as Java, C++, or C#
• ▹Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• ▹Experience with CI tools such as Buildkite

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of observability tools such as New Relic or Grafana
• ▹Familiarity with AI tools and their usage
