Mulesoft Integration Senior Architect (Secret clearance)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and govern the design of complex, multi-phased MuleSoft integration projects following API-led connectivity patterns
• ▹Identify efficiencies in customers' IT operating model and support SDLC pipeline implementation
• ▹Define and scale enterprise integration best practices, reference architectures, and API patterns
• ▹Establish and enforce DevOps models, CI/CD pipelines, and operational standards including monitoring and API lifecycle management
• ▹Lead requirements workshops and deliver architectural blueprint documents
• ▹Act as a trusted technical advisor to client executives and internal sales/delivery teams
• ▹Mentor and coach junior architects, engineers, and consultants
• ▹Engage with MuleSoft Product Management and Engineering to relay field feedback

Requirements

• ▹Active Secret-level security clearance
• ▹10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years leading complex integration and solution architecture initiatives
• ▹2+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience or similar, designing and implementing API-led connectivity patterns
• ▹Demonstrated expertise in High Availability, scalability, SDLC, and full API lifecycle management
• ▹Experience architecting enterprise-grade technical solutions and communicating with C-level executives
• ▹Experience defining full API lifecycle management from design through deployment and operations
• ▹Exceptional customer-facing communication and expectation management skills
• ▹Experience managing multiple technical integration projects using SDLC end-to-end
• ▹Experience integrating MuleSoft with other solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi)
• ▹Understanding of API security principles (authentication, authorization, security policies)

Nice to have

• ▹Deep expertise in API lifecycle management, SDLC, microservices, and related architecture patterns (Service Mesh, Serverless)
• ▹Mastery of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform features (API Management, Exchange, Flex Gateway)
• ▹Experience driving technical workshops with business and technical clients
• ▹Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA, HIPAA, SOX) and certifications (CKA, CISSP, CISM, Security+)
• ▹Multi-cloud proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD)
• ▹Networking and infrastructure knowledge (TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN, DNS, SSL/TLS) and load balancers (AWS ELB/ALB/NLB, F5, Nginx, HAProxy)
• ▹Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Bash, Go, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Rust, Java) and RDBMS/NoSQL/time-series databases
