SailPoint's CI/CD Engineering Manager (Manager, DevOps) role, based remotely in Colorado, USA, leads the team responsible for release velocity, security posture, and compliance standards, stewarding the Secure SDLC and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) supporting over 1,000 engineers and 250+ weekly deployments on SailPoint's identity governance SaaS platform.
Responsibilities
- ▹Lead and mentor a high-performing team of CI/CD, DevOps, and Platform engineers, owning people leadership (compensation, performance reviews, expectations)
- ▹Champion Secure SDLC and software supply chain security culture; ensure SCA/SAST scanning, SBOM generation, artifact signing/provenance, and secrets detection meet defined standards
- ▹Champion secure release practices for the Internal Cloud Agent infrastructure and AI security controls
- ▹Drive Internal Developer Platform (IDP) strategy: self-service portals, repository provisioning, CI/CD templates
- ▹Own CI/CD and GitOps delivery architecture: robust, auditable, scalable release pipelines
- ▹Ensure compliance and governance: repository security, branch/push protections, policy-as-code, separation of duties, FedRAMP/SOC 2 compliance
- ▹Establish CI/CD infrastructure performance and cost (FinOps) expectations, meet pipeline runtime targets
- ▹Partner with engineering leadership, product stakeholders, and security teams to define the technical roadmap
Requirements
- ▹Must be a US citizen residing in the US (FedRAMP requirement)
- ▹5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, DevOps/CI-CD Manager, or equivalent technical leadership role in a cloud-native SaaS environment
- ▹Proven ability to lead, mentor, recruit, and empower engineers, driving organizational change
- ▹CI/CD and GitOps expertise: setting delivery standards, evaluating architecture and tooling decisions
- ▹Proven leadership ensuring secure software supply chain delivery in regulated, high-assurance environments
- ▹Working knowledge of cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code
- ▹Experience tracking pipeline health and delivery metrics (DORA metrics)
- ▹Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills across distributed cross-functional teams
- ▹Solid foundational programming knowledge (GoLang, Python, Java, or JavaScript)
Nice to have
- ▹Platform engineering experience building self-service Developer Portals (e.g., Backstage) and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs)
- ▹Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
