Senior Developer Advocate (Education), EMEA

Backend Developer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 Berlin Office

n8n's Developer Education team teaches its automation and no-code community through practical how-tos and certified courses. As Senior Developer Advocate (Education) you'll own certified courses and depth content, repurpose it across every channel, and design learning experiences with clear objectives, scaffolding and assessment — all while holding a high accuracy bar, since a wrong instruction is costly for the community's trust.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the community with practical how-tos, help members get unstuck, and build relationships with the most active ones
  • Own certified courses and depth content, then repurpose it into short-form pieces for each channel: videos, livestreams, blogs, meetups, social
  • Work the whole funnel — awareness content that pulls new builders in, activation content that gets signed-up users to real proficiency and keeps them there
  • Enable partners to deliver, exploring co-marketing and curriculum opportunities with the partner team
  • Hold the accuracy bar, since a wrong instruction is costly for the company's reputation
  • Monitor success metrics (completion, certification pass rates, proficiency gains) and adjust effort accordingly
  • Design for learning outcomes: set clear objectives, scaffold from first touch to proficiency, and build the practice and assessment that proves someone can do the thing

Requirements

  • 5+ years in tech, with 2+ years in Developer Relations or Developer Education
  • Has taught and built community across channels such as YouTube, short-form video, courses, blogs, meetups, public speaking and events
  • Identifies first as a teacher, and also as a learner, a builder and a doer, a mentor and a communicator
  • Empathetic, inclusive, warm and enthusiastic, gets a buzz from helping people learn
  • Passionate about automation, no-code and/or open source
  • Comfortable building real n8n workflows and spotting your own errors, since accuracy is the job

Nice to have

  • Experience with instructional design, assessment writing, or certification programs
