Senior Professional Services Engineer - EMEA

Responsibilities

• ▹Use a consultative approach to assess customer goals and identify the most effective implementation path
• ▹Deliver statements of work with guidance from Technical Architects, installing and configuring GitLab in customer environments
• ▹Develop and implement migration plans from version control systems to GitLab
• ▹Provide technical training remotely or on-site, creating implementation and maintenance documentation
• ▹Create and maintain artifacts, templates, documentation and scripts for service delivery
• ▹Document and communicate customer opportunities, risks and status to project and account teams
• ▹Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to support customer success and contribute feature improvements
• ▹Support Engagement Managers with quoting and scoping statements of work

Requirements

• ▹Professional experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration-as-code technologies (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef)
• ▹Professional experience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• ▹Experience using, deploying or configuring GitLab
• ▹Proficiency in English sufficient for a remote, largely asynchronous work environment
• ▹Effective communication skills, building consensus with peers and providing clear status updates
• ▹Solution-oriented, consultative approach; comfort managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
• ▹Strong organizational skills, self-motivated within a fully remote organization
• ▹Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
