Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes Compute

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes for high-throughput financial applications
• ▹Contribute to the technical execution of migrating core workloads to Amazon EKS with zero-downtime deployments
• ▹Optimize container lifecycle management, networking infrastructure, and cluster provisioning APIs for multi-region reliability
• ▹Collaborate with engineering teams across Robinhood to integrate core platform capabilities like service mesh, authentication, and load balancing
• ▹Identify performance bottlenecks in production and implement automated solutions to enhance platform availability

Requirements

• ▹Strong proficiency with Kubernetes control plane and data plane components, including container lifecycle management
• ▹Experience deploying, debugging, and managing large-scale distributed systems or containerized platforms in production
• ▹Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS services and managed container environments like Amazon EKS
• ▹Knowledge of container networking concepts, cluster security protocols, and open-source cloud-native tools
• ▹Ability to plan and execute technical projects systematically while providing technical guidance to team members
