Responsibilities

• ▹Detect performance regressions per-PR and nightly in CI across defined KPIs (startup, upload, print generation, crash rate), with alerting on regression; this is the enforcement mechanism for the PreForm performance initiative.
• ▹Re-architect the systemtest layer to drive end-to-end scenarios headlessly through PreForm Server via the Local API, in alignment with the API team — faster and more stable than GUI automation and fast enough for the PR gate.
• ▹Build and own a customer-file corpus pipeline that runs large batches of real customer models through slicing and support generation, diffing results against baselines to catch regressions at scale.
• ▹Own Sentry triage, trending, and root-cause attribution for crashes; build crash-reproduction harnesses so engineers can fix issues rather than investigate them.
• ▹Own test infrastructure as a product: print regression baselines, CI flake, test runtimes, and golden-file management.

Requirements

• ▹C++ proficiency — able to write integration and system tests against PreForm internals and understand what they exercise (mesh operations, print file generation, slicing output)
• ▹Python for tooling and harnesses — corpus pipelines, API-driven test drivers, result diffing and reporting
• ▹CI and automation depth — Jenkins, test parallelization, flake management, baseline/golden-file testing strategies
• ▹Observability instinct — Sentry, Amplitude, crash and performance dashboards; treats 'is this release healthy' as a data question
• ▹Senior enough to define the test strategy independently, hands-on enough to build it

Nice to have

• ▹Desktop application testing experience — GUI automation on Windows/macOS (Squish or Qt Test-based harnesses)
• ▹Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies
• ▹Experience in a fast-growing startup environment
