Backend Developer • Senior • Hybrid • Full-time Poland Warsaw, Poland

Saily removes the hassle of staying connected while traveling, with no roaming fees or physical SIM cards across 200+ destinations; as part of Nord Security's AI-native Product Engineering backend team, you'll help build the product while the team transitions to Go.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the Saily product by developing and maintaining new features
  • Create features supporting multi-dimensional personalization, A/B experimentation, and analytics
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality codebase, continuously improving code and performance
  • Mentor colleagues on development best practices and provide technical guidance
  • Influence the team's overall vision and long-range goals
  • Perform R&D operations whenever required
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring smooth communication among all team members
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design professionals from other teams

Requirements

  • 4+ years of backend development experience
  • Experience with at least one backend language: PHP, Python, C#/.NET, Java, or Kotlin
  • Solid system design knowledge — knowing which patterns to use, when, and why
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis) solutions
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Ability to design APIs that are easy to use and simple to understand
  • Strong product mindset: focus on problems, outcomes, and impact
  • Curiosity about AI and enthusiasm for working with agents

Nice to have

  • Experience with K8s and microservice architecture
