Responsibilities

• ▹Lead Android AOSP efforts to build a strong, flexible foundation for the payments application
• ▹Engage cross-functionally with product management, software and hardware engineering teams
• ▹Drive conversations with SOC and terminal vendors for high-performing components
• ▹Ensure software quality using the latest Android OS technologies
• ▹Coach team members to grow the team's skill set

Requirements

• ▹5+ years experience working with the Android OS
• ▹In-depth understanding of Android OS from secure boot and Linux Kernel to Java Framework integration
• ▹Proficient in C/C++, knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin a plus, experience with Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub and Android command-line tools (adb, fastboot)
• ▹Track record navigating multi-party development lifecycles, Google communication channels and compliance tools (VTS/CTS/STS)
• ▹Experience modifying AOSP for domain-specific features
• ▹Expertise implementing and integrating HAL (HIDL/AIDL) interfaces and wrappers
• ▹Experience debugging issues in Android Framework and Linux Kernel
• ▹Passion for solving large-scale problems and building great software
