Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to defining SOCOTEC's optimal data strategy (structure, processes, open data, external data purchasing)
• ▹Lead projects end-to-end: data collection, preprocessing pipelines, modeling, and deployment
• ▹Develop computer vision and NLP algorithms to support field experts (Inspection 4.0)
• ▹Develop customized AI assistants for group services (RAG, text-to-SQL)
• ▹Develop hybrid physics-AI techniques (digital twin, PINN)
• ▹Extract information from documents and technical drawings
• ▹Mentor junior team members and animate the group's Data & AI expert community
• ▹Collaborate with a developer team to host model deliverables on an AWS-based web platform

Requirements

• ▹Master's degree in Data Science / Machine Learning or a generalist engineering degree with an affinity for data
• ▹Minimum 5 years of applied Data Science experience, ideally in an industrial or highly data-driven environment
• ▹Strong command of Python and its data ecosystem (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn)
• ▹Solid experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms, plus at least one major framework (TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch)
• ▹Familiarity with collaborative development tools: Git, GitLab, Jupyter Notebooks, VS Code
• ▹Fluent, professional-level English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of AWS environments (Lambda, Timescale, S3)
• ▹Familiarity with MLOps best practices for production model deployment
• ▹Knowledge of statistics, modeling, and multivariate analysis (factor analysis, PCA, clustering, regression)
