Alliance Services Plus (AS+), a consulting firm, is looking for Distributed Systems Engineers (Rust) for a client's strategic project to build a distributed high-performance computing platform. The role is based in London (1 day/week on-site), for a 6-12 month project starting May-July 2026.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design and develop backend services for a distributed HPC platform
- ▹Implement orchestration mechanisms between CPU and GPU nodes
- ▹Develop distributed task queue management systems
- ▹Design data management and lifecycle services
- ▹Optimize performance and resilience of distributed systems
- ▹Participate in architecture decisions and design reviews
Requirements
- ▹Significant experience developing distributed systems
- ▹Strong command of Rust, or a strong ability to ramp up quickly
- ▹Solid understanding of service-oriented and scalable architectures
- ▹Experience with messaging systems (Apache Pulsar, RabbitMQ or similar)
- ▹Ability to address performance and resilience issues
Nice to have
- ▹HPC knowledge (networking, storage, GPU)
- ▹Experience in high-performance computing environments
