Engineering Manager, Software, Catalog Enrichment

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team building the catalog enrichment platform
• ▹Define and execute the technical roadmap, balancing new investments with reliability
• ▹Operate an AI-native enrichment platform blending LLMs, classical ML, rules, and human review
• ▹Drive the evolution toward autonomous pipeline construction
• ▹Own the ML-facing catalog data layer and governance policies
• ▹Partner with ML, search, ads, and retailer teams
• ▹Boost developer and operator productivity via AI-assisted tooling
• ▹Contribute hands-on to architecture discussions and code reviews

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineers
• ▹Experience leading teams that build and operate production data or ML platforms
• ▹Strong foundation in distributed systems, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration
• ▹Ownership of data quality, coverage, or compliance commitments
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with catalog, commerce, or product data platforms at scale
• ▹Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration systems (Temporal, Airflow, Flink)
• ▹Experience shipping applied AI/ML features in production
• ▹Proven success partnering across ML, product, and operations
• ▹Familiarity with data governance and licensing controls
• ▹Experience building pipeline builders or low-code/no-code internal tooling
• ▹Background in developer productivity tooling
