Responsibilities

• ▹Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity
• ▹Collaborate with product management, design and analytics on ideation and technical decisions
• ▹Proactively identify and help solve project, process, technology or business issues
• ▹Support operations and availability of team artifacts, monitor metrics, participate in on-call
• ▹Improve code review and design standards, foster a culture of quality and ownership
• ▹Develop team talent through feedback, guidance and mentoring

Requirements

• ▹4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• ▹Track record developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience defining a technical plan for a significant feature or system component with an elegant, extensible design
• ▹Proficient at making significant, safe changes in a large codebase
• ▹Demonstrated ownership of your own growth, proactively seeking feedback
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration with a global engineering team
