Expression of Interest - DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to the design, development and deployment of robust development tools and scalable infrastructure supporting the engineering lifecycle
• ▹Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the engineering team, translating business requirements into technical specifications
• ▹Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases
• ▹Review and test code authored by team members, providing detailed analysis and ensuring high-quality deployments
• ▹Proactively safeguard systems against cybersecurity threats and maintain a security-first approach to infrastructure
• ▹Contribute to troubleshooting technical issues, developing long-term fixes, and manage software updates and patches
• ▹Partner with developers to ensure all software engineering follows established best practices and architectural standards
• ▹Support the configuration and seamless integration of microservices in a containerized environment

Requirements

• ▹Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or a closely related Software Engineering position
• ▹Basic understanding of frontend or backend development; understanding of the code as well as the infrastructure
• ▹Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins
• ▹At least basic Infrastructure as Code (IaC) knowledge
• ▹Containerization: proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably Azure)
• ▹Good understanding of database technologies, with a preference for NoSQL environments
• ▹Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and workflows
• ▹Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Nice to have

• ▹Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Helm
• ▹Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible)
• ▹Observability & Messaging: Grafana, ELK, Kafka
• ▹Web servers: NGINX, Apache, Tomcat
• ▹NoSQL: BigQuery, MongoDB, Redis
