Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and evolve mobile experiences across Spotify's most visible consumer surfaces
• ▹Contribute to reusable mobile foundations, frameworks and platform capabilities
• ▹Support technical initiatives improving scalability, performance, reliability and developer experience
• ▹Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and platform teams
• ▹Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and testing practices
• ▹Take part in experimentation and prototyping tied to future listening experiences
• ▹Explore modern engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development tools

Requirements

• ▹Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin
• ▹Awareness of building maintainable, scalable, well-tested software systems
• ▹Experience collaborating with engineers across disciplines
• ▹Care for code quality, testing, documentation and long-term maintainability
• ▹Curiosity, ownership and willingness to step outside your immediate expertise

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with SQL, analytics systems or data engineering concepts
• ▹Interest in AI-assisted coding tools
