Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, US Remote

Responsibilities

• ▹Evolve the APIs supporting user flows to ensure a great user experience
• ▹Optimize queries and relational database schema for speedy response times
• ▹Implement algorithms for monetary transaction evaluation, risk management, income verification and other predictive models
• ▹Integrate with new third-party APIs
• ▹Decrease the customer service workload by improving the product and internal automations
• ▹Implement interaction and motion design for more delightful user experiences
• ▹Automate visual testing and visual regression detection
• ▹Create new mobile and web clients for upcoming products
• ▹A/B test and optimize features that boost the business's bottom line

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
• ▹REST-based services and API development experience, mainly using Java
• ▹Experience building UI/UX for new features end-to-end using React or React Native
• ▹Up-to-date grasp of JS language standards, ES6 and beyond (TypeScript is used)
• ▹Experience with SQL databases, constructing schemas, performing migrations and writing analytical queries
• ▹Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple projects under minimal supervision
• ▹For remote applicants: East Coast working hours, located in the EST or CT time zone

Nice to have

• ▹GraphQL experience
• ▹Kubernetes, Docker or other container system experience
• ▹Quantitative skills, knowledge or experience in finance
• ▹Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers
