Responsibilities

• ▹Improve Tailscale's security and privacy properties, bug fixes, defense-in-depth
• ▹Audit features for technical security weaknesses
• ▹Support engineering decisions with threat modeling
• ▹Spend at least 50% of time writing software

Requirements

• ▹Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go)
• ▹Proficiency for at least one application platform (iOS, Android, web, Windows, macOS, Linux)
• ▹Prior experience in a safety-related role (app security, pentesting, threat modeling, UX research, forensics)
• ▹Deep understanding of web app vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), client-side security, API security flaws
• ▹Collaborate with engineering teams to promote secure coding practices
• ▹Knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols
• ▹Knowledge of common networking protocols
