Responsibilities

• ▹Build the orchestration layer of LabOS that coordinates experiment scheduling, execution, data capture and results processing
• ▹Create interfaces and APIs that give scientists and AI agents real-time visibility into what is happening in the lab
• ▹Build custom AI agents and tooling that automate decisions across the experiment lifecycle, from protocol design to troubleshooting failed results
• ▹Turn proprietary hardware into API-controllable devices that agents and software can operate programmatically
• ▹Design scheduling systems that coordinate dozens of lab instruments with complex dependency chains
• ▹Own large areas of the product in a small team

Requirements

• ▹Full-stack production experience (TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres; what matters is working across the stack)
• ▹Product instinct: has shipped, watched users and iterated
• ▹Comfortable in ambiguity: starts from a goal, not a spec, and writes their own plan
• ▹Heavy use of AI tools, with enough experience without them to know what good looks like
• ▹Curious about biology (no background required)
