Responsibilities

• ▹Design and harden multi-step, tool-using agent loops into reliable, observable, cost-effective production systems
• ▹Establish evaluation practice: when formal evals earn their keep vs. targeted smoke tests
• ▹Select, upgrade and fine-tune models as needed
• ▹Improve retrieval and context engineering: ranking, context windows, citation accuracy
• ▹Treat cost and latency as product features: profile, distill, cache and right-size models
• ▹Up-level teammates in building with models

Requirements

• ▹Senior technical leadership experience in agent engineering (software engineering + ML + statistics)
• ▹Comfort reasoning about eval harnesses, fine-tuning runs, retrieval pipelines and multi-step agent loops together
• ▹Operating at staff scope: owning the most ambiguous, highest-risk problems
• ▹Ability to translate fluidly between engineering and business goals
