Your Role As a SAP S/4HANA FICO Consultant, you will support the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end finance processes. Working closely with key Finance and Accounting stakeholders, you will gather complex requirements, translate accounting and statutory needs into scalable SAP solutions, and ensure successful delivery throughout the entire solution lifecycle. Operating as a trusted functional consultant, you will lead solution design activities, support seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP modules, and drive testing, cutover, deployment, and post-go-live hypercare. You will tackle complex financial and reconciliation challenges, draft detailed functional specifications, and partner across technical teams and business units to ensure resilient, audit-compliant financial architectures. What You Will Do Lead and support the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA FICO modules alongside other enterprise SAP and non-SAP systems. Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements to translate complex accounting and statutory policies into functional architectures. Prepare detailed functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers to design, build, and deploy custom developments and enhancements. Execute end-to-end testing cycles, including unit testing, cross-module integration testing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Manage cutover activities, data migration validation, and provide hands-on post-go-live hypercare and production support. Troubleshoot complex financial and ledger reconciliation issues, ensuring rapid incident resolution and minimal operational disruption. Author and maintain high-quality operational runbooks, user manuals, and standard operating procedures while delivering training to key business users. Required Skills and Experience Degree, technical diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven functional consulting and configuration experience in SAP FI (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting) and CO (Cost Center, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting). Hands-on implementation or migration experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance platforms. Strong experience in translating accounting, statutory, and regulatory compliance standards into technical and functional requirements. Proven track record creating functional specifications, partnering with ABAP developers, and coordinating end-to-end testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with demonstrated success managing finance stakeholders across cross-functional environments. Preferred Skills and Experience Official SAP S/4HANA Finance certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate/Professional). Experience integrating SAP FICO with upstream/downstream modules such as SD, MM, PP, or external banking/tax interfaces. Working knowledge of Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Product Costing (CO-PC), or Central Finance (cFIN). Understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps frameworks, and ITIL-aligned service management tools.
