Senior Software Engineer - REDAPL Graph Engine

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build a query engine supporting efficient relationship traversals for demanding workloads
• ▹Contribute to design and drive high-priority projects increasing the platform's value, resilience, and scalability
• ▹Lead and guide other engineers through architectural platform decisions
• ▹Identify system risks and reliability trends and design solutions
• ▹Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led initiatives
• ▹Collaborate with internal product teams to understand their requirements

Requirements

• ▹BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• ▹Extensive experience with multiple types of data stores
• ▹Several years contributing in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment
• ▹Led impactful technical initiatives where performance, cost efficiency, and resilience matter
• ▹Significant back-end engineering experience building and operating distributed systems at scale

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Memgraph, JanusGraph, ArangoDB, Amazon Neptune, PuppyGraph)
• ▹Production-grade experience with Apache Iceberg
• ▹Query planning knowledge, contributions to production-grade query engines (Trino, Calcite, Substrait, DataFusion) or PMC membership
