Fullstack Developer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 Remote

At Deepnote you'll be an end-to-end owner of a project as a full-stack engineer, working across the web UI, backend logic, and AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

  • Build new features across the stack — backend logic, APIs, and polished UI components
  • Design and iterate on AI-powered features (chatbots, copilots, code generation, agents)
  • Work with prompts, evaluations, and context handling to deliver reliable AI features
  • Enhance the real-time collaborative notebook experience
  • Think data-first: structure, transform, and route information through the product
  • Support and learn from the vibrant community of data scientists and developers

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack product engineering experience (TypeScript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM products (chatbots, assistants, AI-powered features)
  • Comfortable designing prompts and getting the most out of AI models
  • Understand the basics of how LLMs work: tokenization, memory/context limits, cost/latency/quality trade-offs
  • A data-oriented mindset that translates into practical product decisions
  • Native use of Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent parallelized agentic coding tools — an absolute necessity for this role
