Technical Program Manager

Wayve is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs across its engineering org - spanning AI, software, robotics, infrastructure, evaluation, and data.

Stack

Responsibilities

  • Drive project delivery: own the project lifecycle and improve delivery outcomes through structured execution
  • Boost efficiency: identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and improve tooling and resource allocation
  • Enable cross-team collaboration through effective communication and shared goals
  • Manage risk proactively: anticipate issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Keep stakeholders aligned: engage regularly, manage expectations, deliver on commitments
  • Align programs with Wayve's strategic priorities through smart scope and resource decisions
  • Champion continuous improvement: lead retrospectives and implement process changes

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading complex, multi-team software or technology programs in fast-paced or early-stage environments
  • Technically strong: comfortable working with engineers and reasoning about modern software, ML, and robotics stacks
  • Systems thinking: understanding how the parts of a complex system fit together
  • Stays neutral and adapts under pressure in high-tension, ambiguous situations
  • Strong project management: planning, prioritizing, managing risk and dependencies
  • Clear communicator who explains complex ideas simply and surfaces risk early
  • Collaborative leader who brings people together and influences without authority

Nice to have

  • Ideally 8+ years as a Technical Program Manager
  • Engineering or computer science degree, or experience as an engineer; skilled in Jira or similar tools
  • Exposure to autonomous vehicles, robotics, ML, simulation/evaluation, or other safety-critical, compute-heavy domains

What we offer

  • Salary range: $171,600-$274,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package
  • Hybrid work based in Sunnyvale, CA
