Systems Integration and Test Engineer (Mid to Senior Level)

As a Systems Integration and Test Engineer you'll own the definition, integration, verification, and failure analysis of state-of-the-art autonomous flying robots, ensuring product integrity across infrastructure, public safety, and defense applications.

Responsibilities

  • Define comprehensive, testable system requirements with product managers, designers, and developers, from product-level to component-level
  • Guarantee system performance and product integrity through architecture definition, design reviews, and component selection criteria
  • Define and implement cross-functional system behaviors and telemetry to optimize lifetime performance, health, and field diagnostics
  • Perform initial bring-up and performance verification for new product introductions
  • Act as first responder for early system failures, triaging issues across mechanical, electrical, embedded, and autonomy domains
  • Analyze flight telemetry and field analytics for risk assessment and predictive/condition-based maintenance
  • Implement processes and tools for efficient product development and testing (test infrastructure, maturity tracking)

Requirements

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in definition, design, analysis, testing, modeling, and delivery of highly reliable electro-mechanical systems in rapid development environments
  • Systems-engineering approach to problem solving, quickly identifying issues across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Test design and execution for system bring-up and performance verification, including mechatronic prototyping and fixture development
  • Knowledge of design-for-reliability principles, physics of failure, and integration risks for critical electronics subsystems (PCBAs, motors, batteries, cameras, compute modules, sensors)
  • Experience in Python and/or SQL to analyze datasets and write scripts for electro-mechanical systems
  • Passion for communicating hardware/systems reliability nuances to internal and external teams
  • Keen eye for identifying and prioritizing risks, with extreme ownership in resolving them
