Senior Developer Relations Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Create and evolve developer documentation for Plaid's APIs
• ▹Distill complex technical topics into approachable, accurate explanations for a broad developer audience
• ▹Design and build sample applications, demos, and tutorial videos showcasing Plaid API integrations
• ▹Maintain and improve developer-facing resources, including the Postman collection and documentation site
• ▹Serve as the developer's advocate, translating external feedback into product and documentation insights
• ▹Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing on developer experience

Requirements

• ▹5+ years in Developer Relations/Advocacy, or 2+ years in DevRel combined with 3+ years in a related technical role
• ▹Ability to write clear, idiomatic code in at least one backend and one frontend language
• ▹Experience building sample applications and technical demos
• ▹Experience writing high-quality developer documentation from scratch and identifying content gaps
• ▹Ability to quickly learn and clearly explain new technologies and concepts
• ▹Strong developer empathy and ability to communicate what matters most to developers
• ▹Ability to thoughtfully use generative AI to accelerate work while maintaining quality

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with OpenAPI
• ▹Experience with web or mobile development
• ▹Experience working on B2B APIs
• ▹Experience building or growing developer communities around B2B APIs
• ▹Strong presentation skills
• ▹Experience creating technical content across formats such as slide decks, diagrams, web apps, or video
