Senior Software Engineer, Rejections & Denials
On the Rejections & Denials team, you'll build LLM-powered automation that autonomously fixes denied healthcare claims, with full audit trails and safety guardrails.
Responsibilities
- ▹Build LLM-powered automation that decides how to fix a denied claim, with evals, dry runs, and auditable trails
- ▹Design guardrails: identity guards, payer-type guardrails (dental, Medicare A vs. B), duplicate prevention, dry-run/QA gates
- ▹Scale a rule engine that runs hundreds of configurable conditions and actions per customer across high transaction volumes, safely and idempotently
- ▹Build observability tooling: dashboards for automated resubmission approval rate, denial-to-resubmission cycle time, and failure rates by insurance type and denial category
- ▹Generate appeal letters and medical-record packets automatically, with validation scoring
- ▹Deliver a unified automations console where ops can manage every rule engine in one place
- ▹Contribute to the RCM platform's technical direction
- ▹Own integration workflows from design through deployment
- ▹Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive architectural improvements
Requirements
- ▹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- ▹5+ years of professional software development industry experience
- ▹Proficiency in frontend languages: TypeScript, React
- ▹Proficiency in backend languages: Python or Go
- ▹Experience with Git, GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, monitoring/alerting tools
- ▹Proven track record designing and implementing end-to-end solutions and making architectural decisions
- ▹Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
