OpenAI's User Operations team resolves complex, often undefined technical issues and helps customers maximize value from AI adoption, based in Singapore.
Stack
Responsibilities
- ▹Work directly with customers through support tickets and Slack messages, troubleshooting complex issues
- ▹Become among the foremost experts on OpenAI products, even where the AI itself doesn't have the answer
- ▹Partner with engineering and customer teams as a last line of defense before core Product and Engineering
- ▹Use scripting and emerging AI capabilities (e.g. Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) to improve internal tooling and automate recurring processes
- ▹Turn learnings from resolved customer issues into scalable approaches, partnering with product and go-to-market teams
- ▹Orchestrate agentic improvements that level up the entire operations team
- ▹Foster a supportive and productive work culture within the User Operations team
- ▹Provide support coverage in on-call shifts, including holidays and weekends, based on business needs
Requirements
- ▹8+ years of experience in user operations, technical support, or support engineering, ideally within tech startups or fast-paced environments
- ▹Comfort using emerging technologies (e.g. Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) to script or engineer code (e.g. Python) for automating repetitive tasks
- ▹Expert-level SaaS troubleshooting skills and the ability to rapidly understand new technologies and complex concepts
- ▹Proven experience building strong relationships with customers and cross-functional partners
- ▹Full fluency in English, spoken and written — resumes and interviews are conducted in English
Nice to have
- ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, another relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
