Responsibilities

• ▹Build Sesame's standalone companion app, the foundation for a new consumer product category
• ▹Work with engineering, design, and product teams to ship complex, delightful features
• ▹Help build the iOS team by providing leadership on best practices and modern iOS app design
• ▹Collaborate with iOS, Android, and web engineers to define the mobile and web strategy

Requirements

• ▹Strong intuition and deeply considered opinions about iOS app design and aesthetics
• ▹Proven track record on delightful, design-forward apps
• ▹Proven technical leadership shipping apps or major features to production multiple times
• ▹Passion for shipping great products and understanding what delights users
• ▹Passion for the complex engineering behind fast, ergonomic, innovative iOS UI
• ▹Expertise in eliminating latency across complex iOS apps
• ▹Up to date on the latest iOS UI/UX patterns and the Apple release cycle
• ▹Extensive hands-on experience across the iOS development lifecycle: build trains, test strategy, modern UI architecture

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building complex or advanced UI beyond the SDK's golden path
• ▹Experience with real-time communications: WebRTC, WebSockets, audio/video codecs, compression protocols
• ▹Expertise managing battery drain in media- or graphics-intensive applications
• ▹Experience integrating BLE peripherals on iOS
• ▹Metal or other graphics/shader experience
• ▹Contributions to open-source iOS projects or a strong personal portfolio
• ▹Experience building AI consumer products
