Staff Software Engineer, Product Engineering – UK

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own a large portion of a product end-to-end, including product- and design-style work
• ▹Research competitors and write product specs and wireframes
• ▹Design and build automated interview scheduling that solves the interview "calendar Tetris" problem
• ▹Build a generalized, declarative filter architecture that compiles user-facing filters to SQL through a consistent UI
• ▹Spec, design, and implement a feature for signing offers entirely within the product, working directly with customers

Requirements

• ▹Ambitious full-stack engineering experience, laser-focused on customer problems
• ▹Ability to work across any part of the stack, from frontend to choosing new infrastructure
• ▹Experience tackling projects with a lot of product and technical ambiguity
• ▹Ability to strike the right balance between speed and quality
• ▹Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• ▹Prior experience owning projects independently, without mentorship (90%+ of the team is Senior or above)

Nice to have

• ▹Mobile development experience (iOS/Swift, Kotlin)
• ▹Familiarity with Jira or a similar project-tracking tool
• ▹Proficiency in SQL
