Engineering Manager, Product

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow a team of product engineers through mentorship, feedback, and technical guidance
• ▹Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation through launch
• ▹Partner with Product and Design teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions and roadmaps
• ▹Engage in technical discussions, guiding system design decisions and architectural tradeoffs
• ▹Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
• ▹Break down complex problems into incremental milestones
• ▹Ensure the team understands developer experience and customer impact
• ▹Partner with product management, customers, and internal teams to align priorities

Requirements

• ▹8+ years as an engineer shipping products/features with downstream business impact
• ▹2+ years managing people and developing engineers (hiring, mentorship, performance management)
• ▹Strong technical background with ability to engage in system design and architecture
• ▹Product-oriented mindset translating business goals into engineering roadmaps
• ▹Ability to balance urgency with thoughtful execution
• ▹Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design
• ▹Strong sense of ownership and accountability for team outcomes and system health

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building products for developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, or DevTools
• ▹Background in highly scalable distributed systems or infrastructure platforms
• ▹Experience improving engineering velocity through tooling, processes, and team practices
• ▹Experience building products used directly by developers or technical users
• ▹Track record collaborating with product, marketing, and customer support to drive adoption
