Responsibilities

• ▹Own features end to end, from the first line of code to the conversation with the developer who uses it
• ▹Build performant, focused, effortless-feeling experiences across the IDE, web, and CLI surfaces
• ▹Define interaction patterns for how developers work alongside AI agents
• ▹Work directly on Devin and the core agent infrastructure that powers it (agent loop, tool use, harness)
• ▹Punch through hard engineering problems yourself rather than handing them off
• ▹Move fast across the IDE, web, and CLI products while maintaining a high quality bar on all of them

Requirements

• ▹Strong full-stack engineering depth with a natural instinct for product quality
• ▹Genuine developer empathy — understanding of developer workflows, frustrations, and delightful tooling
• ▹Python, TypeScript, and React proficiency in complex, production-grade products
• ▹Independent product judgment without needing extensive process or sign-off
• ▹UX and design obsession — attention to micro-interactions, transitions, response times, empty states

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building developer tools, IDEs, or technical products where the user is an engineer
• ▹Prior experience at a frontier AI lab, applied AI company, or developer tools company
• ▹BS, MS, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field from a highly selective program
