Senior Data Scientist

Data Engineer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 SF Office

On Abridge's growing US-based Data Science team, you'll drive product strategy with data, directly influencing how healthcare professionals engage with patient data, partnering with product, engineering, science, commercial, and finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Extract meaningful insights and identify trends and patterns by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing internal and external data
  • Ensure end-to-end visibility of AI generation pipelines, from internal quality metrics to automated production assessment
  • Investigate and correct issues identified through data operations monitors, tools, and reports
  • Model user behavior by analyzing interactions, engagement metrics, and funnel analysis for product improvement
  • Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of product features and design changes
  • Design and analyze AI model evaluation metrics, guiding the team on gaps in evaluation processes
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate data insights into product priorities
  • Serve as a domain expert on the business context of analytics data

Requirements

  • 8+ years using Python, R, SQL for analytics
  • 5+ years in product-facing roles, driving product outcomes through A/B testing and defining project/company-level goals
  • Experience with data visualization tools: BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Sigma) and code-based tools (Seaborn, ggplot2)
  • Excellent communicator capable of delivering quantitative findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort building data capabilities from the earliest stages through rapid growth, working closely with data engineering and ML

  • Knowledge of healthcare settings, electronic health records (EHR), and healthcare billing
