Senior Software Engineer, Adaptive Classification Team

Responsibilities

• ▹Work with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to craft the team roadmap
• ▹Lead and architect critical software projects with a team of engineers from conception to operation
• ▹Provide guidance and mentorship for junior team members
• ▹Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers and Go-To-Market teams to implement customer requests
• ▹Raise the bar for engineering excellence and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
• ▹Grow into a tech lead role for the AI Security Mailbox product
• ▹Own key deliverables end-to-end within the division's quarterly roadmap and SLAs/SLOs
• ▹Architect and own AI-native workflows to eliminate team toil

Requirements

• ▹BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems or a related engineering field
• ▹5+ years of industry experience in backend web development and distributed systems
• ▹Experience working both individually and in groups
• ▹Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication
• ▹Experience building and operating features and components from scratch
• ▹Expert with Python and/or Go
• ▹Proficient and enthusiastic about AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and other AI-native workflows

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with the team's stack: Python, Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Django, Celery, Kafka, Prometheus, Postgres/MySQL
• ▹Experience with frontend frameworks, particularly React.js
• ▹Tech lead experience
• ▹Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices
• ▹Startup or cybersecurity experience
• ▹MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field

• ▹Base salary range $179,800 - $258,500 USD
