Software Engineer

Software Engineer • Remote • Full-time Canada US and Canada, Canada

At Warp — which started by reimagining the terminal and now builds a full agentic development environment — you'll take part in the entire development lifecycle, from design through coding, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of software development: design, coding, code review, unit/integration testing, bug fixing, and API documentation
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, growth, marketing, and product teams to plan features
  • Improve Warp's performance and reliability by building new features or polishing existing parts
  • Prototype ideas and concepts to get quick feedback from internal and external users
  • Work across the entire technical stack to ensure the best possible user experience
  • Mentor peers, give thoughtful feedback, and build strong personal connections with teammates

Requirements

  • Passionate about helping developers get more done
  • Amazing engineering chops combined with a product- and user-focused mindset
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • Sensitive to developers' needs, able to develop warm relationships with them

Nice to have

  • Building native apps in Rust or WASM
  • Shell or Linux-level programming
  • Server-side programming in Go
  • OpenGL, WebGL, or other graphics programming
