Procurement Data & Analytics Roadmap Lead, R&D

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop a strategic analytics roadmap for the R&D Procurement Domain, aligned with the overall Procurement analytics roadmap
• ▹Identify and design analytics capabilities, co-developing and prioritizing business cases with stakeholders
• ▹Align the roadmap with Procurement Services to ensure timely, quality delivery
• ▹Work with the Head of R&D Procurement to capture analytics requirements
• ▹Work with Global Category Teams to understand future data requirements and develop a data strategy using internal and external sources (e.g. Bloomberg)
• ▹Support pragmatic implementation of innovative technologies (Machine Learning, GenAI) with Procurement Services
• ▹Monitor and track SLAs with Procurement Services to ensure timely delivery of capabilities
• ▹Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, correlations and predictive insights
• ▹Define data models that enhance understanding of procurement performance, developing bespoke models with Procurement Services
• ▹Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations, communicating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the procurement team

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred
• ▹5+ years of experience in a procurement role with a focus on analytics and emerging technologies
• ▹Strong understanding of Procurement processes and frameworks
• ▹Significant experience in Indirect Procurement, with knowledge of R&D spend categories
• ▹Strong understanding of data privacy regulations, industry trends and best practices
• ▹Ability to translate business requirements into a technical roadmap
• ▹Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven decision making
• ▹Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to influence at all organizational levels

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in Life Sciences or Consulting organizations
• ▹Proficiency in additional languages
