Senior Security Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop new tools to help developers and users work securely and more efficiently
• ▹Operate and manage WorldQuant's secrets and authentication management tool instances
• ▹Develop tooling for continuous audit, code analysis and other security analysis activities
• ▹Support existing Application Security team products
• ▹Develop new features for existing products (OIDC IdPs, Workload Identity tools, CA infrastructure, cloud assessment tools), both proprietary and deeply integrated third-party tools
• ▹Develop management tools and support foundational components such as Kerberos, SSH, SSL and more

Requirements

• ▹Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline from a top-tier university
• ▹Solid understanding of UNIX security
• ▹Strong programming experience, preferably in Python or Rust
• ▹Experience operating security infrastructure and developing integrations of security products
• ▹Ability to communicate and design security solutions from first principles
• ▹Experience with Linux, Kerberos, SSL, SSH and Active Directory
• ▹Experience with agentic development
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of industry-standard tools: GitLab, Nix, Red Hat Linux, Claude, JIRA
