Senior Python Software Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling
• ▹Work closely with researchers and portfolio managers
• ▹Contribute to a multi-year effort to build a scalable, efficient platform driving the firm's next decade of growth
• ▹Own unique technical challenges within the team

Requirements

• ▹A minimum of 7 years writing production-quality Python code on Linux
• ▹Willingness to learn C++
• ▹Strong interest and motivation to work with machine learning, deep learning and backtesting platform design/development
• ▹Strong understanding of Linux system programming fundamentals
• ▹Ability to develop large-scale, distributed systems
• ▹Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, high-performance application design, and concurrency patterns
• ▹Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction
• ▹Proficiency in English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in C++
• ▹Prior experience with machine learning, deep learning or backtesting platforms
• ▹Experience developing systems for managing/computing on large-scale graph data
• ▹Experience with streaming / dataflow systems
