Responsibilities

• ▹Take ownership of a domain and grow it, partnering with product and design
• ▹Work across the full stack: Ruby services for business logic, React and React Native experiences for customers
• ▹Solve complex, high-stakes problems involving regulatory and compliance requirements
• ▹Act as a technical leader: influence architecture, raise code quality bar, mentor teammates

• ▹Drive process and engineering excellence by identifying and fixing what slows the team down
• ▹Collaborate across the broader organization: engineering, product and other cross-functional teams

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems
• ▹Comfort working across the stack: frontend (React, React Native) and/or backend (Ruby on Rails, Kotlin/Java a plus)
• ▹AI-first development workflow without compromising rigour: agentic workflows across the full development lifecycle
• ▹Maker-owner mindset: long-term ownership of a growing domain
• ▹Excitement for complex, high-impact problems in regulated financial products
• ▹Technical leadership and mentorship instincts
• ▹Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have

• ▹Kotlin or Java experience
• ▹Background in other languages considered if depth and judgment are there
