Propulsion Test Engineer

QA / Test Engineer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Bremen

Engineering role supporting the development, integration, and testing of propulsion systems for space projects, from proposal through launch campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Support space projects in developing, integrating and testing propulsion systems
  • Prepare test procedures and plans, perform gaseous, liquid and electrical functional testing of satellite propulsion systems
  • Develop, build, maintain and continuously improve test stands
  • Specify, procure, assemble and maintain test and measurement equipment
  • Perform filling, pressurization and drying operations on propulsion systems
  • Plan, supervise and execute system-level tests at production facilities, test centers and launch sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a comparable technical field
  • Hands-on experience in Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT), ideally with propulsion system testing
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, static and dynamic behavior
  • Experience writing test procedures
  • Strong willingness to learn and quickly grasp new complex topics
  • Fluent English, valid Class B driving license

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of data acquisition software scripting, automated test equipment, and handling hazardous gases/liquids
  • German language skills
