N26 is seeking a collaborative Backend Engineer for the Grow & Engage domain, a hybrid role based in Barcelona. From initial signup to premium memberships and daily engagement, you will help deliver innovative features across the entire feature lifecycle. You will partner closely with Product Owners and Designers to translate user needs into seamless, scalable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- ▹Do discovery, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software
- ▹Manage individual project priorities and deliverables while working in a knowledge-sharing team
- ▹Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology
- ▹Propose new findings during Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD)
- ▹Partner with Product Owners and Designers to translate user needs into scalable backend systems
Requirements
- ▹Experience developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems
- ▹Sound understanding of microservice architecture
- ▹Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres
- ▹Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS
- ▹Strong bias for action and getting things done
- ▹Ongoing appreciation and consideration for security
- ▹Motivation to write well-tested and well-documented code

- ▹Experience with Kotlin
