Senior Data Scientist,

In this 2-year fixed-term position, you will have the following responsibilities:

• By designing, developing, and evaluating machine learning models on complex telecom and retail data, you transform high-volume datasets into production-ready solutions such as churn prediction models to drive retention offers or point-of-sale fraud models to cut first-payment defaults.

• Working as part of the Data Science team closely aligned with cross-functional partners, you translate business needs into actionable ML and AI solutions across marketing, customer care, and network operations - including next best offer, customer lifecycle management, recommendation systems, and demand forecasting.
• Drawing on machine learning techniques, data analysis skills and strong statistical methods, you build reliable, explainable models that foster trust in AI-driven outcomes and enable the company to scale its automated decisioning responsibly and confidently.
• Active participation in generative AI initiatives allows you to work with LLMs, knowledge graphs, traditional NLP approaches, and custom models to power innovative solutions like AI-powered chatbots and automated customer interactions.
• By staying up to date with the latest research in data science and generative AI, you bring cutting-edge techniques directly into challenges ranging from customer behavior and commercial decisioning to network insights, keeping our data science capabilities at the forefront of innovation.
• In close collaboration with MLOps engineers, data engineers, product management, and IT, you build and deploy production-ready models that run seamlessly in live enterprise environments and bring advanced analytics closer to everyday operations.
• Through mentoring junior and medior colleagues and leading internal knowledge-sharing sessions, you strengthen a collaborative learning culture and help elevate the overall capability and technical maturity of the team.

You are the ideal candidate for our team if you have/are:

• BSc or MSc of Economics, Technology, Natural or Social Sciences.
• Routine in handling large volumes of enterprise data.
• Advanced use of data science tools, with Python and SQL as a must have, and MLflow, Spark as a plus.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in a data science, advanced analytics or machine learning engineer role.
• Experience working in a cloud environment, with knowledge of AWS, Sagemaker and Bedrock is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of statistics, machine learning and data modelling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient level of English.
• Experience working in a consumer setting and marketing is a plus.
