Engineering Lead - Customer Accounting Team (m/f/d)

Raisin, the world's leading savings and investment platform, is looking for an Engineering Lead for its Customer Accounting team. This team handles the integration with the servicing bank, focusing on accounts, transactions, account lifecycle, reconciliations and transaction compliance. The role combines hands-on backend leadership with full end-to-end delivery ownership.
Responsibilities
- ▹Manage the full end-to-end delivery cycle: requirements analysis, estimation, design, implementation, QA and delivery
- ▹Nurture an inspiring environment with open communication and a culture of trust
- ▹Proactively resolve impediments and mitigate risks
- ▹Collaborate closely with the team's Product Manager
- ▹Collaborate with other Product Managers and Tech Leads on strategy and planning
- ▹Drive the OKR process: objectives, definition and individual target agreements
- ▹Recruit, hire and onboard engineers while developing their soft and technical skills
Requirements
- ▹At least 1 year of leadership or people management experience
- ▹Proven track record of managing software projects and delivering sustainable software collaboratively
- ▹Confidence in driving technical and architectural discussions
- ▹Strong hands-on backend engineering experience (typically 8+ years), with solid Java (Spring Boot) expertise
- ▹Practical experience with event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka or comparable technologies)
- ▹Understanding of distributed systems challenges such as idempotency, consistency and failure handling
- ▹Comfort participating in code reviews and architectural decisions across backend and fullstack systems
- ▹University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
- ▹Fluency in English
Nice to have
- ▹Professional experience in fintech, banking, investment platforms, insurance or other highly regulated industries
- ▹Experience with systems where data integrity, auditability, compliance and transactional correctness shaped architectural decisions
- ▹A 'safety-first' mindset around auditability and data integrity
- ▹German language skills
